                   The Gaia hypothesis is an ecological hypothesis proposing that the biosphere and the physical components of the earth [🔸 Atmosphere 🔸 cryosphere 🔸 hydrosphere 🔸 lithosphere]   are closely integrated to from a complex integrating system that maintains the climate and biogeochemical conditions on earth in a preferred homaostasis originally proposed by James lovelock as the earth feedback hypothesis .

   🔰 It was named the Gaia hypothesis Greek supreme godness of Earth

  🔰 The Hypothesis is frequently described as viewing the earth as a single organism love look and other supporters of the idea now can it Gaia  theory regarding it is a scientific theory not mere hypothesis since they believe it has passed predictive tests.

                   Lovelock clamied the existence of a global control system of surface temperature atmosphere composition and ocean salinity his arguments were .

🔰 The global surface temperature of the earth has remain constant speed on increasing the energy provided by the sun.

 

🔰 Atmospheric composition remains constant even through it should be unstable.

🔰 Ocean salinity is constant.

                 This theory  is based on the idea that the biomass self regulate the conditions on the planet to make its physical environment on the planet more hospitable to the species which consitute its "life the gaia hypothesis properly defined this "hospitualy as a far homeostasis. A model that is often used to iuustrate original ji hypothesis is the so-called Daisy world simulation.

                  Gaia  theory has developed considerbly  and in recent years both lovelock and marguils understanding of Gaia have gained some increased support as a potentially viable festival scientific hypothesis or theory marguils dedicated The last of 8 chapters in her book.                 After much criticism a modified Gaia hypothesis is now considered within ecological science basically consistent the planet out being the ultimate object of ecological study ecologist generally consider the biosphere as an ecosystem & the original hypothesis though a simplification of that original propssed to be consistent with a modern vision of global ecology relaying the concepts of biosphere & biodiversity the gaia hypothesis has been called geophysiology or earth system science which takes into account the interaction between biota ,the oceans the geosphere and the atmosphere to promote research and discussion in these fileds an organization "Gaia society for research and education in earth system science " was started.

          🔸The international biodiversity programme Diversity's 

  

   Recognise that in addition to the threat of significant climate change there is growing coneern over the ever increasing human modification of other expect of the global environment and the consequent   implications for human well-being.
