ASPIRIN REDUCES RISK OF DEATH IN HOSPITALIZED COVID-19 PATIENTS
🔰#1🔰. A new Study lead by researchers at the University of Maryland school of medicine [UMSOM] has found that hospitalised covid patients who were taking a daily low dose aspirin to protect against cardiovascular disease lower risk of complications and death compared to those who didn't take aspirin
🔰#2🔰. Aspirin takers very less place in the intensive care unit there are more likely to survive infection compared to hospitalized patients who not taking aspirin.
🔰#3 🔰. This is a critical finding that needs to be confirmed through a randomized clinical trial if our finding is conformed it would make aspirin the first widely available over the counter medication to reduce mortality in pandemic COVID-19
🔰#4🔰. Patients taking a daily low dose aspirin [USUALLY 81 MILLIGRAMS] before they were admitted or right after admission to manage their cardiovascular disease.
🔰#5 🔰. The researchers found Aspirin used was associated with a
🔸 44% percentage reduction in the risk of being put on a mechanical ventilator
🔸 43%decrease in the risk of ICU admission & most importantly
🔸 47% decrease in the risk of dying in the hospital compared to those who were not taking aspirin.
🔰#6 🔰. Doctors often recommended daily low-dose Aspirin for patients who have previously had a Heart-attack and stroke cused bye a blood clot to prevent future blood clots daily use however can increase the risk of major bleeding or peptic ulcer disease.
🔰#7 🔰. we believe that the blood the thinning effects of aspirin provides benefits for covid-19 patient by preventing microclot formation patients diagnosed with covid-19 may want to consider taking a daily aspirin as a long as they check with their doctor's first.
🔰#8 🔰. Those at increased bleeding risk like a CHRONIC KIDNEY DISEASE & STEROIDS or blood thinners may not be able to safely take aspirin
🔰#9 🔰. While confirmatory studies are needed to prove that Aspirin use leads to better outcomes in COVID , the evidence thus far suggest that patients may want to discuss with a doctor whether it is safe for them to take aspirin to manage potentially prevent serious complications.
